Children’s Workshop
Creating Fabulous Characters and Special Settings (ages 8-10)
with Dr Anita Heiss

Workshop participants will don a shell necklace, a baseball cap or any one of Anita’s props as they get lost in their imaginations and create inspiring characters who may live in faraway places including other galaxies. This workshop also includes considering natural and manmade sacred sites as a way for young people to write about their own special places as potential settings in their writing.

Bring pens and paper, your laptop, you imagination and a sense of humour, and Anita will bring the chocolate.

Date: 12 June
Where: Yeppoon Library
