In this series of 2 workshops – one for kids, one for adults – Jade Goodwin, illustrator extraordinaire of the “Little Ash” books by Ash Barty, will take you through her process of building unique characters for children’s book illustrations. She will demonstrate how to take inspiration from the people around you to draw and develop characters and how to add finer details to bring them to life.

In this workshop you will learn:

– Basic drawing skills

– How to draw facial features and expressions

– Basic understanding of character design

Participants will walk away with their own character that they have been guided to develop during the workshop.

– (preferred) paper, lead pencil, eraser or pen (optional) 

– iPad / tablet
