Local author, Shelby Rhodina explores the differences between new worlds and ‘secret’ worlds and how to bring fantasy realms into everyday contemporary life.

Topics covered – fantasy cultures, constructing fantasy languages, importance of inspiration vs copying, making authorial decisions when world building.

Also discussed, mythopoeia – the act of creating new mythology and history for the creation of new worlds.
